We like keeping things simple, fair, and transparent. These terms are mostly here so everyone knows what to expect. If you ever have questions, just ask us. We’re always happy to help.
1. GeneralBy signing up for any course, pool session, trip, camp, equipment purchase, rental, or travel arrangement with India Scuba Network, you agree to the terms below.
Scuba diving is an adventure activity and, like all adventure sports, comes with some inherent risks. Our team will always do its best to keep things safe, enjoyable, and well-organized.
2. Bangalore Courses & Pool TrainingCourse Materials & Registration
Once your online learning materials are assigned, the following amounts become non-refundable:
₹7,400 for SSI courses
₹12,900 for PADI courses
This is because the materials are permanently assigned to your profile and remain yours to use at any affiliated dive centre worldwide.
Pool Session Rescheduling
Need to move your pool session? No worries, just let us know by 3 PM the evening before and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Rescheduling Fees
Rescheduling between 3 PM and 9 PM the evening before: ₹3,000 fee applies.
Rescheduling after 9 PM the night before, or not showing up: ₹5,000 fee applies.
Our instructors block out their full day for training sessions, so last-minute changes can be difficult to accommodate.
Being Fit to Train
Please arrive well-rested, hydrated, and ready to train. If someone arrives:
Hungover or under the influence of alcohol/drugs
Without required medical paperwork
Or medically unfit to dive
…the session may need to be cancelled for safety reasons and treated as a no-show. Safety always comes first underwater.
Medical Information
Please make sure all medical information shared with us is accurate and complete. If important medical details are withheld or misrepresented, we may have to stop training or diving activities for safety reasons. In such cases, refunds may not be possible. If you’re unsure about a condition, just speak to us beforehand — we’ll help you figure it out.
Certification Standards
Dive certifications are performance-based rather than attendance-based. Most people complete the course comfortably within schedule, but occasionally an instructor may recommend additional practice sessions. If extra sessions are required, additional charges may apply.
3. Trips, Camps & ExpeditionsBookings & Payments
Your spot is confirmed once the required payment/deposit has been received. For many trips — especially international ones — we often make advance payments to resorts, boats, hotels, and other vendors quite early in the process.
Cancellations & Refunds
For trips and camps involving third-party operators, their cancellation policies will apply. As a general rule, it’s safest to assume payments are non-refundable unless we specifically mention otherwise. This is especially true for:
International trips
Liveaboards
Resort bookings
Permit-based expeditions
Special event departures
That said, if we’re able to recover funds from operators/vendors, we’ll absolutely try our best to pass them on after deducting any unavoidable charges or penalties.
Itinerary Changes
Adventure travel can sometimes be unpredictable. Weather, ocean conditions, flight delays, mechanical issues, or local regulations may occasionally force changes to:
Dive sites, schedules, accommodation, boats, or itineraries
If that happens, we’ll always try to find the best possible alternative and keep everyone informed along the way.
Diver Responsibility
Participants are responsible for ensuring they:
Hold the required certification level
Have suitable recent diving experience
Are reasonably fit to dive
Carry dive/travel insurance where required
Our instructors and trip leaders may occasionally restrict dives if they feel safety could be compromised.
Flights, Visas & Travel Documents
Unless specifically included in a package, participants are responsible for:
Flights, visa requirements, passport validity, insurance, and immigration documentation
We recommend double-checking these well in advance of travel.
4. Independent Trip Planning & Custom AssistanceSometimes we help divers plan independent trips or connect them with resorts, boats, instructors, or dive centres outside our own operations. In these situations, we usually act as facilitators rather than the actual operator of the service.
Payments, schedules, and cancellations for those arrangements may therefore depend on the policies of the respective third-party provider. We’ll always do our best to assist if issues come up, but final operational responsibility lies with the provider running the activity.
5. Equipment Sales, Rentals & Gear PurchasesGear Purchases
Once gear has been used, specially ordered, or imported on request, refunds or exchanges may not be possible. Manufacturer warranties, where applicable, are handled according to the respective brand’s policies. Delivery timelines for imported equipment can occasionally vary due to supplier delays, customs processing, or shipping timelines.
Rental Equipment
Please treat rental gear with care and let us know immediately if something doesn’t seem right before using it. Charges may apply for:
Lost equipment, significant damage, delayed returns, or improper handling
Normal wear and tear, of course, is completely expected.
6. Photos & MediaWe occasionally capture photos/videos during courses and trips for community memories and social media. If you’d prefer not to appear in any content, just let us know beforehand — absolutely no problem.
7. Conduct & SafetyWe work hard to create a friendly, respectful, and safe community environment. We may refuse participation or remove someone from an activity if their behaviour is unsafe, aggressive, disruptive, or repeatedly ignores instructor guidance.
8. LiabilityWhile we take safety very seriously, scuba diving and adventure travel naturally carry some level of risk. By participating, customers acknowledge and accept these risks.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, India Scuba Network, its instructors, trip leaders, staff, and partners cannot be held responsible for situations outside reasonable control, including travel disruptions, weather events, vendor issues, or diving-related incidents.
9. PaymentsUnless mentioned otherwise:
Prices are quoted in INR
International pricing may vary based on exchange rates
Bank/payment gateway charges may apply depending on the payment method used
